I feel like this is misleading without providing an actual list of works, since many of his posthumous works are versions of his drafts that were later expanded by Christopher Tolkien.
Obviously the original story comes from his brain (and the various myths his stories tend to be based on), but because so much of his work has been edited and published posthumously it’s just a bit difficult to take this entirely at face value.
*cries in Children of Hurin, Fall of Gondolin, and History of Middle Earth*
Wait what??? I have read the Children of Hurin but i have never heard of these others?
Aren’t most of those books unfinished or just part of the silmarillion?
The Unfinished Tales is way better than the Hobbit.
