CGI wasn’t the best yeah, but I kinda understand why it wasn’t the best after seeing the small amount of time they had to finish.

The problem was that they set on 48 frames per second and prosthetics and practical effects don’t look as good in greater clarity.

Rewatched again this weekend, the trilogy orcs are so distinct and have so much variety. The best part is that these orcs will never be old and weird like cgi, they just can’t be more real than that

Viggo breaking his toe was actually CGI.
But just imagine what a shit show it would have been if they didn’t have CGI. I’m glad no one ever tried to make the films before CGI. They could never have done it justice. As it was the films cost $300M.
