1. If one person comes up with an idea it’s very likely several others have come up with it as well. Only difference is who publishes first.

  2. He wasn’t the first to come up with the idea and he won’t be the last.

  3. I finished my like 3rd playthrough of mario galaxy 1, so i tried to make a gravity subclass based off of it. Lawyer up, mercer

  4. This is the first I’m hearing of this but i was thinking about gravity magic earlier, what a weird coincidence

  5. Let’s be honest. The best DMs steal the best ideas and put them into their games.

  6. This happened to me! I was working on a new psionic/mystic class and then WotC dropped the psionics UA. I feel your pain, my friend.

  7. I never watched CR, but I have a player who has. They talked about Dunamancy and I decided that an artifact they had from my homebrew setting would have some inherent ability related to time, and that it would change and even improve/lose it’s current built-in drawbacks over time.
When I saw Dunamancy is getting official, I was excited. When I saw the Vestiges of Divergence my heart sank because this Dunamancy item that I intended to be uniquely changing with the character without them knowing is now predictable for them.. Now my player isn’t going to think I planned it to improve and grow alongside them.
