ATHLETICS Current Fan Policy: Soccer FANS if you would like to attend an at-home soccer game, please pay close attention. The day before the game there will be a signup sheet for students who will ride the activity bus home. Before or during your lunch period you will need to sign up on the sheet, for your lunch period that will be located in the front office. The first 5 names will be taken from each lunch period list and the rest will be put on a waiting list. If any slots from lunches are still open then, names will be pulled from those on the wait list randomly, should a slot open. If you are having a parent pick you up after the game, you will need to get a permission slip signed by your parent agreeing to pick you up after the game, no later than 4:45pm and turn it in when you sign up as well. Again, 5 people per lunch period, with a waiting list that is randomly drawn should a slot open. Car riders, just bring a hand written note from your parents the day of game that they will be picking you up. THIS IS FIRST COME FIRST SERVED, no exceptions. The list of student names that will be allowed in the gym as a spectator will be posted in the lunch room the day of the soccer game. *Please note Redland Respect will be kept at all games or your privilege to attend can be taken away. ****************************************************************************************** 3. 4 and all things PTA! To subscribe to our updates, please contact Andi Dumas at Membership: Your annual membership in the Redland Middle School PTA matters. We thank all of our parents, guardians, teachers and staff who have joined us so far. We truly appreciate your support! Our goal is 100% participation this year so if you haven't already joined or renewed your membership, which from last year expired on September 30th, please do so today! Stay in the know with the PTA: 1) Look for the PTA link at the top of the RMS website 2) Find and like us on Facebook! PTA Volunteers Needed: We can't do this without YOU! The PTA is looking for volunteers. Up, Up and Away with the Redland PTA! Direct Appeal Campaign Why a Direct Appeal? The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is responsible for funding many programs that benefit your child. In lieu of selling products that only return a small percent of the profit to the school, the PTA is asking for direct donations that are 100% tax-deductible and 100% of what you give goes directly to programs benefitting all Redland students. It s as easy as ! 1. Choose the amount you wish to donate (every dollar helps!). 2. Write a check to REDLAND PTA. 3. Send the check as well as the completed form at the bottom of this letter to the Redland Office. The following is a list of end of year activities that are AT RISK OF BEING CUT if we can t provide funding: 2018 PTA Sponsored Spring Activities: ACADEMIC GRANTS FOR EACH GRADE - the trout release for the 6th graders - the visiting author workshop for the 7th graders - the Shakespeare workshop for the 8th graders HONOR ROLL RECOGNITION CELEBRATIONS WITH TREATS FOR EACH STUDENT AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS AND CLUBS END OF YEAR SOCIALS FOR ALL STUDENTS Please help us ensure that we have enough money to pay for ALL of the above items for our students. Every contribution makes a difference! Please make your check payable to Redland PTA and have your child drop it off to the school office. Questions? Preguntas?
